If you have an iphone and you want to know where your time goes (or at least where your ‘phone time’ goes, anyway) you could use an app, or you could simply use a feature your phone already has: the Battery Useage data. Simply access ‘Settings’, then ‘Battery’, then go to ‘Battery Useage’. This will tell you how much time (and power) each of your phone’s apps and features have used in the last 24 hours or the last 7 days. Touch the clock icon displayed next to ‘Last 7 Days’ to see the amount of time each app has spent in the foreground (and also running in the background) of your phone. This can give you a good idea of how much time you are spending on social media, watching videos and even talking and texting, and it may just motivate you to waste less time.
- It’s easy to go down a rabbit hole when using your smartphone.
- There are apps. that help you track where you spend this discretionary time.
- Instead of taking up phone space with another app. you can use the battery section of your settings page to see where your time has gone.
“Instead of taking up phone space with an extra app, you can find out where your precious minutes get spent by visiting your iPhone’s Battery section”
