Productive workdays boil down to asking yourself what works. This individual had two points of focus that worked for her. In the first point she asked herself what was the most important thing to accomplish at the moment, prioritizing the work and taking into account deadlines and whether or not somebody is waiting. The second point involved doing what she most felt like doing at the moment and then batching the to-do list into categories so as not to be bouncing back and forth between activities but doing similar things sequentially.
- Dramatically increase productivity by focusing your energy throughout the workday
- Focus on tasks that have the most urgent deadlines first
- Knock out chunks of work by concentrating on tasks that you “feel” like doing in the moment
“Rather than mosey through task after task, technically eroding my to-do list but setting myself up for a blur of a day, I try to make a splash.”
