The online version of a Massachusetts town newspaper reported on a presentation given by three Blackstone Valley Tech high school students about how to reduce stress. The three women spoke to a class of middle school students in Milford. They used Zen in their presentation. The women received positive feedback from the students. Some wrote letters thanking them. A photo of the three students is shown. They are in their school uniforms and are standing in front of the Massachusetts State House.
- ROOTS stands for Reaching Our Optimal Tranquil State. It was founded by students at Blackstone Valley Tech.
- Roots is intended to help others achieve a peaceful state of mind. One benefit is for students who have ADHD. It is helpful to them for managing stress.
- The students teach stress managing skills to assist others in avoiding stressful thoughts. The founders of ROOTS will be competing in the SkillsUSA State Conference.
