If you have a task to do that will only take a couple minutes, just do it. Work hard earlier in the day so you can reward yourself with an earlier break. Use a service called Toggl to set deadlines and keep track of how much time you spend on particular tasks. Use another site called Brosix to provide you and your coworkers to help connect your computers and other media together into a digital meeting environment. Find ways to make work fun, like competing with yourself based on how quickly you completed a task previously. Make sure you maintain a positive attitude, so you’re not undermining your productivity before you start working.
- To work more effectively, consider each large task as comprised of many two minute quick tasks that you can quickly accomplish and move on from.
- Give yourself a carrot, by way of an early break, as a way to motivate you to get work done.
- Keep work moving by keeping it fun and using teamwork, where possible.
“With every passing moment, the need for being more productive becomes the most sought after commodity.”
